Wildfire Recovery Relief Time Program

The City Council has approved the 2025 Wildfire Recovery Relief Time (WRRT) Program (Council File 25-0006-S39), which provides compensated time off for City employees directly impacted by the 2025 Pacific Palisades and Eaton Canyon Wildfires. This includes employees who lost their home, suffered significant property damage, or experienced displacement.

Application Process
Employees interested in the benefit must submit a one-time online application:

2025 WRRT Application Form: https://forms.gle/Mk2YmFbwZQK45fJXA

Applications will be reviewed by a committee made up of a representative from the employee’s labor organization (if applicable), the employee’s appointing authority or designee, and a representative from the Office of the City Administrative Officer (CAO). Non-represented employees will have a committee consisting of the appointing authority or designee and a CAO representative.

A copy of your submission will be emailed to the address you provide. Please ensure the email address is accurate. A determination will be emailed within 14 calendar days of submission.
