Solidarity Rally for SEIU President, David Huerta

On Monday, June 9th,  President Gates, AFSCME 3090 Harbor regional coordinator Gabrielle Earl, AFSCME District Council 36 Business representatives, organizers, and members of AFSCME International took part in a solidarity rally demanding the release for SEIU President, David Huerta.

David was arrested Friday during the ICE raids in Los Angeles. There were approximately 800-1000 people from various unions, along with city and state leaders fighting back against Davids’s arrest.   I am happy to report that at approximately 3 p.m. Monday afternoon, David was released from custody. Our mission was one of peace and remained peaceful until its conclusion. This is how things get done!
