A Message From Your President

Hello Mighty3090, 

I hope you are all having a happy, healthy summer. 

As you know, Mighty3090, alongside the Los Angeles Coalition of City Employees, has been working diligently to reduce and ultimately eliminate any proposed layoffs. 

I am happy to report that we started with 1,650 potential layoffs. The current number provided stands at 394. However, WE ARE NOT DONE! We will continue to fight for every single position. 

While we continue our fight, Personnel department is obligated to continue with the seniority and displacement layoff process. I encourage you to visit www.personnel.lacity.gov to learn more.

I’ve mentioned I would do my best to keep you informed and be as transparent as we can with the limited information we receive. 3090 Vice-President, Adda Murillo and I have hosted 3 Zoom meetings to keep you all updated of the latest layoff information. We will have another meeting soon, so please look for the Zoom link. If you are not receiving our emails, please contact angelica@afscme36.org.
