How to Prepare for the City’s Payroll System Change
The City of Los Angeles will be migrating to a new payroll/HR system on June 16th. In anticipation of this transition, we would like to share some important information with you.
The transition will not be perfect, so you may encounter some issues that could affect your pay. To prepare for this, print out or take screenshots of your D Time data such as paystubs, salary history, sick time accrual, vacation accrual, time sheets, etc. because you will not have access to D Time once the system fully migrates to the new system.
The City is allowing employees to practice entering their time in Workday to get used to the system and make note of any errors before the official launch. To practice, visit https://impl.workday.com/wday/authgwy/lacity5/login.htmld
Also, additional resources and training materials can be found here: https://sites.google.com/insidela.org/hrp/phase-2
The City is working on fixing any known issues with the system and hopes to have everything completed by the June 16 launch date. However, when the system goes live, if you experience an issue, please notify your HR department as soon as possible. They will work to correct the issue within 24 hours. If you are unsure of how to contact your HR department, your supervisor should be able to provide the contact information to you.
The City has training resources to help employees become more familiar with the new system. Below is a link to training resources for the department of recreation and parks. For training resources for your department, please reach out to your department lead.
