Resources for Members Affected By Current Firestorm
Dear Mighty3090,
Our hearts are heavy and our prayers are with everyone affected by the fires in and around our great city. Your safety and security will remain our top priority. We’ve put together a checklist of resources below for impacted members as well as a donation page to help those union members who have been affected.
Thank you to the LA Federation of Labor and Labor Community Services for much of the following information.
STAY INFORMED:
Monitor local updates from Cal Fire and LA County Emergency Services,
BE PREPARED:
Be prepared to evacuate if asked to do so. Keep important documents, cash, medications, pet needs, and emergency kits ready.
BE PROTECTED:
Protect yourself from smoke and bad air quality by staying indoors as much as possible. If you must be outdoors, wear an N95 face mask.
CONTACT US:
We are here to support you in any way possible. If you have been directly affected by the devastating fires, please contact your union representative or email our office at mighty3090@afscme36.org. We will advocate for any resources and accommodations necessary.
Stay Safe and healthy,
Larry Gates
