Local 3090 Celebrates LA’s 2025 MLK Parade
The annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. parade is a long-standing LA tradition that has been going on for 40 years. This year, due to the devastating fires in January, the Kingdom Day Parade, which honors Dr. Kings life and legacy, was rescheduled to Feb. 17. Through its mission of promoting peace and unity, the parade unites diverse communities to celebrate Dr. King’s vision of equality and justice for all.
The LA Federation of Labor, which represents 800,000 LA-area union members, has been a longtime sponsor of the parade. AFSCME 3090 president and elected representatives were honored to ride on the LA Fed’s bus during the parade, celebrating a great leaders and activist.
