Update on Workday Payroll Issues

During the transition to the WORKDAY payroll system, several of our fellow brothers and sisters received paychecks that were short—some with a $0.00 amount. I have and will continue to work very hard to ensure all 3090 members are made whole.
I can’t stress this enough: PLEASE go to mypayla.lacity.org and print out your previous paycheck stub. After you’ve done this, print out your check stub from WORKDAY. Compare everything between the two stubs. Check the name, employee ID number, job class, salary anniversary date, deductions, EVERYTHING. Members have reported many discrepancies between the two systems. Go over the stubs very carefully and make sure all fields are correct.
If you find something that is inaccurate, make note of it and contact your WORKDAY Change Champion, Human Resources Department, or Timekeeping. It may take some time to make the necessary changes, but I am fully confident we will get through this.
